HOLDEN, La – April 21, 2026 – Kovatch Mobile Equipment Corp. (KME®), a leading manufacturer of fire apparatus, will display its latest customized line up of fire apparatus at FDIC International (Fire Department Instructors Conference) from April 23-25, 2026, Booth #3745, in Indianapolis, Indiana.
“We’re looking forward to being at FDIC and connecting face-to-face with the firefighters and departments we’re proud to serve,” said Brian Connely, KME director of Sales. “With three KME trucks on display, we’re excited to showcase the craftsmanship, performance and customization that define our apparatus, and to demonstrate our ongoing commitment to building solutions for today’s firefighters.”
KME will showcase the following fire apparatus:
- Severe Service Tuff Truck Aerial from Orange County (CA) Fire Authority: Built on a 100’ KME Severe Service XMFD chassis with flat roof cab and seating for five, this rig features a 103’ Aerialcat 4-section ladder with a 500 lp tip load and a 12’ outrigger jack spread. It includes a 1,500 GPM aerial waterway flow, a 300-gallon water tank, roof-top storage compartments and a center hose bed storage chute.
- Severe Service Pumper from Francestown (NH) Fire Department: This truck features the XMFD chassis with 10” raised roof and seating for six, the Control-MAXX electrical system, an ultra-low hosebed, enclosed ladder and suction hose storage, 1,500 GPM pump, 1,000-gallon water tank, and 11 SCBA cylinder compartments in the fender.
- Severe Service Pumper from Santa Monica (CA) Fire Department: Built on a 96” Severe Service XMFD chassis with 6” raised roof, this rig has a 500-gallon water tank, 50-gallon foam tanks, 1500 GPM pump, rooftop compartments and Zico single arm ladder rack on the officer side.

Continuing past years’ theme “Protecting Those Who Protect Us,” the Terex Fire Group will host the popular Product Showcase on Thursday and Friday at 12:00pm. This will include product reviews, live product walk-arounds and interviews with National Fire Radio. In addition, attendees and customers are invited to visit the Terex Fire Group Pavillion #4049 for the popular Tiller Time Miller Time Happy Hour at 2:00pm on Thursday, April 23 and Friday, April 24.
